Add these items to your cart ASAP, because Prime Day ends on July 17, 2024.
So let’s jump right into my top Amazon teacher wish list must haves that I know you will love!
Organizing your classroom and materials
1.Sterilite Organizer Drawers (Pack of 2) I love using these drawers for organizing my weekly teaching materials. This includes worksheets, games, books, etc. I label the drawers Monday – Friday, and the bottom drawer is where I start planning for the next week by adding black-line master copies. If you have a TA or parent helper, they can easily go to the copy drawer and start making your copies for you.
2. Magnetic Whiteboard Organizer These are a game changer. I love that you can put the markers upside down so the ink will last longer.
3. 12 Drawer Rolling Cart It seems like everyone is obsessed with the rolling carts without drawers, but I promise you that this cart is essential. This cart worked perfectly when I taught in a classroom without a desk. I would just put it behind my kidney table and could easily organize my desk stuff and reading group materials. I also used this cart to organize my math and reading tubs when I taught first grade. We used these during rotations or for fast finishers. I would swap out the games every week, and I love that there are different sizes in case you have a game that is in a bigger box from Lakeshore.
4. Plastic Storage Baskets These are perfect for organizing your classroom library books.
5. Plastic Storage Bins with Lids The perfect solution to organizing math manipulatives. The lids make these stackable, and if you are lacking closet storage space, these are cute enough to display on shelves.
Classroom management essentials
6. Wireless Doorbell Love using wireless doorbells during small group rotations to get my students’ attention and signal that it’s time to rotate.
7. Carpet Sit Spots A MUST for organizing students in your teaching space. I used to use a classroom carpet, but these work out so much better. Make sure to number them so you can use them again and again.
8. Sticky Notes Sticky Notes are my very favorite for building classroom community. We set goals on them, write kind compliments to our friends, and use them as exit tickets.
9. Mr. Sketch Markers My students love when I use these fun scented markers to check their work. You could also use these as a reward, or in your VIP Student Kit.
Classroom supplies for students
10. Highlighters A text evidence MUST! Students are way more likely to cite text evidence if they can highlight.
11. Ticonderoga Pencils The Holy Grail of pencils! Hands down my favorite, and these will not jam your sharpener.
12. Plastic 2-Pocket Folders with Prongs The ONLY folders I use for take-home folders. These will hold up all year and are durable enough to go back and forth between home and school.
13. Expo Chunky Markers I only let my students use black colored markers. Anytime I have allowed colored dry-erase markers, it just becomes a fight. The chunky markers will last you soooo much longer that the fine tip. Definitely worth the extra money!
Essential supplies for teachers
14. Sharpies Perfect for crafts and posters.
15. X-Acto Pencil Sharpener It is essential to have a heavy-duty pencil sharpener in the classroom.
16. Paper Cutter Usually your school will have one or two good paper cutters in the workroom, but I love having my own in my classroom. One, you are more likely to get distracted any time you make a trip to the workroom. Two, IF you ever need to take work home, you can haul this with you…but please don’t take work home if you can help it.
17. Chart Markers The absolute best chart markers for making posters.
18. Post-It Self Stick Chart Paper I honestly didn’t get in on the hype of the Post-It Chart Paper until last year. It definitely isn’t necessary, but this Prime Deal is too good to pass up. These posters will stick and restick even after you move them all year. I probably went through about 3 pads during a whole school year. If you can’t swing the bundle of 4, there are options to buy bundles of 2 and 3.
Teacher Style finds
19. Paper Mate Flair Pens I am a Flair Pen snob! I just love how smooth these write when I am planning or taking notes during staff meetings and professional development.
20. Himawari Laptop Bag You GUYS!! Last year, I finally switched over to a backpack. Let me tell you, it was a complete game-changer. I am embarrassed to even say that I used to have a rolling cart bag. Eeek! I used to load that thing up to the brim just to not even open it on the weekends. This bag is super functional, durable, and just big enough to only take a few things home. It’s a little bit of a splurge…but you’ve gotta check out the cute colors. Make sure to clip the coupon for an extra 5% off at checkout.
21. Floral V-Neck Dress Ummm….let’s talk about how cute this dress would be for Meet the Teacher Night or the first day of school. I am obsessed!
There you have it! I hope that you found something in this list of Amazon Teacher Wish List Must Haves that you will add to your own wish lists or buy during Prime Day! Let me know if this was helpful, and I want to hear which item was your favorite.

A laptop bag, of course. This is really one of the essentials today since most teachers use their personal laptops for lectures.
That’s a great idea! The backpack that I linked has a special slot inside for laptops. That’s where I keep mine. 🙂
